As adults we often lead very busy lives with many commitments. The decision to take piano lessons, either an as complete beginner or returning after a period of time, can be extremely fulfilling and the studio will tailor the lessons specifically to your interests without compromising on the introduction of a solid technique, musicianship skills and an understanding of the theory of music.

After the free introductory session and chat, I will be able to plan an exciting course of study tailored to your interests. Adult pupils in the studio have enjoyed:

• satisfying solos from the first lesson

• learning to play tunes by ear

• improvisation, both free and chord based

• playing arrangements of favourite songs (as solo or duet)

• revisiting favourite classical repertoire

• duet playing and learning how to accompany

• four chord composing, songwriting and exploring different styles 

• arranging piano melodies for orchestral instruments using digital software

• learning the skills involved to be able to play in a church worship band

• taking an exam as a personal challenge

Although the optimum learning experience is face-to-face, tuition is also offered online.
